About Armchair Archaeologist for iPad™
The Armchair Archaeologist is an iPad guide to finding all those sites you have seen on TV. Where you just want to follow along from your armchair or if you would like to visit the sites yourself. We list 160 sites and over 50 museums, stately homes and other attractions where the items found on archaeological digs can be seen.
Using the iPad built-in map system we pin point where TV shows have dug with a pop up annotation to help you find where the site is. We mark the position of some of the country's best museums and give you their contact details. We can even locate where you are on the map to help you when travelling and with this being about Great Britain we also bring you a weather report from the Met Office.
